#3

Wow. The wardrobe in my bedroom at home appears to be a GOLDMINE! I found this dark emerald green floor length skirt that was part of an Indian dress I used to wear as a kid. For some strange reason, it's actually slightly too big round my waist. Eek. Anyway, the fabric is so gorgeous, I'm thinking of cutting the bottom of the skirt so it comes up to just above my knee. And attempt to sew a massive black tulle underskirt that's just a little bit longer so it peeks out and I end up with a massive poofy skirt.

And as an added bonus, the shawl that came with it is made from the same material and there might be enough to make a skin tight pencil skirt.

Today I bought The Sewing Book by Alison Smith. And got a couple of quids knocked off the price just because the sleeve jacket had a tiny rip in it. I think I'm in love with said book as I can actually understand the instructions and the diagrams are actually helpful. Plus there was a whole section on fabrics and how they're constructed :D
